Bob Nelson
Dean (and founder) of the College of Wilderness Knowledge
Forestry Instructor

Bob is an avid outdoorsman.  He has camped, hiked, canoed, and fished for decades.  Bob was trained as a Forester and still teaches our course in Forestry.  However, his many years of outdoor experience qualify him to teach most of our courses.

Bob has been a youth leader and Scoutmaster for over 35 years.  He has a strong belief that every child should experience the outdoors in a wilderness setting.  He believes that stronger, more self confident and aware youth are the result of wilderness experiences.  His four children, all active in the outdoors with their families, are great testimony to that belief.

Bob still fishes in Canada, hunts in South Dakota, hikes and hunts in Norway, attends Tomahawk with his troop for two weeks each year and travels extensively.  But most importantly, Bob shares his enthusiasm and many talents with any and all who are willing to step into the wilderness with him.
